Institutional Development & Capacity Building

SGI endeavours to enhance the ability of organisations and institutions to identify, plan and implement ways to mitigate and adapt to the challenges of climate change and the energy crisis. It does so by bringing multilateral agencies, foundations, donors, and government agencies together with institutions working on the ground and developing an enabling environment for them to work together and grow.

Business Development Support

SGI can act as a channel for business development of the parent organisation, utilising our widespread network across industry, government, and academia to expand operations and bolstering the organisational infrastructure through relationship establishment with strategic partners and networking with the associations, apex bodies and intermediaries.

Advocacy & Knowledge Dissemination

SGI endeavours to bring about greater public understanding and awareness regarding the challenges of climate change and the energy crisis by engaging industry, academia, and civil society to facilitate civic engagement and collective action. It does so through organising and participating in events such as conferences, workshops, and seminars, through publication of relevant research reports and insightful articles in books and periodicals, as well as outreach via social media. We particularly emphasise youth engagement through our university chapters which work towards preparing and motivating the upcoming generation for tackling energy and climate challenges.

Strategic Partnerships

SGI is run with the support and guidance of our board of directors and advisors composed of seasoned policy and energy experts, prominent academicians, and industry leaders with a passionate commitment to climate action and energy security. We interact and collaborate with a vast network of like-minded peers through strategic partnerships with organisations including universities, think tanks, civil society, multilateral institutions, industry associations, apex bodies, research centres, and other non-profits.
